Council seeks to prepare a new local environmental plan to rezone land for urban development on the boundary of the ACT and the NSW border within Yass Valley Shire.The new release area will be in conjunction with a release area in the ACT collectively known as Parkwood.

Planning Proposal PP-2014-01 for ‘Parkwood’ be endorsed and forwarded to the Minister for Planning to request a Gateway Determination pursuant to s56 Environmental Planning & Assessment Act 1979; 2. The Department of Planning & Environment be requested to assist in undertaking Community Consultation and any Public Hearing for the Planning Proposal.
